Your photos stay on your device.
Privacy Lens processes photos directly in your browser. We don't need to upload your photos to our servers. Face detection and blurring run on your device using a small open-format AI model that is downloaded once and cached locally.
What we do not do
- We do not upload, store, or transmit your photos.
- We do not collect or transmit file names, EXIF data, or GPS information from your photos.
- We do not run session recordings, heatmaps, or keystroke capture.
- You can use the tool without an account (3 photos per day). An account is optional and only raises the daily limit.
What we do collect
- Anonymous product analytics: coarse counters such as "how many photos were processed" expressed as ranges (e.g. 1–10), never file names, contents, or locations.
- If you create a free account, we store your email address (used only to sign you in) and a per-day count of photos processed so the 10-photo daily limit can be enforced.
- Without an account, a random device ID is stored in your browser to apply the 3-photo daily limit. It is not linked to your identity.
- If you purchase Lifetime access, our payment provider (Paddle) processes the payment. We store your account ID and the purchase status — never your photos.
Your controls
- Close the tab and everything photo-related is gone — no photo data is persisted.
- You can clear site data in your browser to reset the device ID and model cache.
- Ask us to delete your account and its email/usage records any time via the Help page.
